This is exactly why I stick with my XK-2. I've
looked at the electro just out of curiosity, but there
is no way I could do some of the drawbar changes on it
the way I do on the Hammond. That alone is reason
enough, but I've had my XK-2 (running through my
speakeasy preamp)& my 1938 BC hooked up through the
same Leslie to do a comparison & people couldn't tell
much if any difference. Some of those people are on
this list & have a fairly good ear to compare too.
It all comes down to what works for you. I'm very
happy with my Xk-2-Speakeasy-Motion sound pro3t/lowpro
setup when I can't take a full-size Hammond & Leslie.
The sound is great & it still feels like I'm playing a
Hammond. Most importantly, I have fun & don't have to
think about how my sound is & if everything's working
right. I can just play & have a good time. 8^)
