Subject:Re: Winter NAMM '04 Clone Predictions
Hi!
I really don't think Clavia will introduce drawbars on Electro 3.
Why not?
I think the current solution is great that because you can recall a stored
preset and start to reshape it instantly using the "drawbuttons"
With physical drawbars you would have to "catch" the stored position of the
drawbar before being able to change it.
What I hope for in a third Electro version would be:
1. Integrated reverb. A simulated spring reverb maybe?
The Clavia support told me that the current hardware does not allow for a
reverb to be added via software upgrades.
But I think there is a demand for reverb.
2. Rearrangement of control panel for easier access to the leslie switch.
From the left:
Effects section , master section, organ section and piano section
3. New leslie switch solution.
The "fast" and "stop" buttons should be placed below the "on" button, laying
down.
With the effects section on the left it will feel more natural to use the
switch than now. A half-moon variant would be great too but it would be too
easy to break. And hard to recall from program memory too.
4. More memory and more sound slots in the piano section. Maybe 3 variations
of each type ie "Rhod: 1, 2, 3", "Wurl: 1, 2, 3" and so on. Memory is cheap!
5. Infinite diode knobs like on the Nord Lead 3 that shows the stored value
for each knob:

Let's see how many point I'll earn for this prediction/wishlist.
