going back to restore the old Chorus vibrato. The Speakeasy takes care

two month now and it will propably be costly. They are trying to
replace som IC´s but will eventually have to replace the mainboard.
The CX3 isn´t built to be ugraded this way. It is just possible to
do it but if anything goes wrong the organ is dead.
I thought i had a reliable midi-interface. I disabled screensavers
and antivirusprogram and followed the instructions. The update runs
from a small program and it starts with some tests, which in my case
didn´t show any problems. After about one third of the software was
downloaded to the CX3 it didn´t respond anymore and that was it.
I recommend that you let the authorized guys take care of it. If
anything goes wrong you will propably have to wait just as long for
the organ but maybe you will not have to pay for the repair.
I know there are list-members who have made the upgrade with no
problems. Maybe the odds are quite good but it is a gambling.
