How about the clone without C/V? I almost never use it and then on
the lowest setting, C1, when I have to for specific songs. It's good
for sound checks, helps to hear how effective the slow rotary effect
is in a venue for speaker placement. I seriously do not like
chorus/vibrato. The "better" it is, the more it turns a good clone's
rotary horn/drum effect into gurgling, warbling slush, wrecking the
tonewheel sound.

C/V is best for jazz players using non-rotary Hammond tone cabinets
or Leslies with the motors stopped.

No C/V = Matthew Fisher, "Whiter Shade of Pale," etc. The Hammond
drawbar sound through a rotary speaker is great straight and has been
used by many of the best classic album rock players for decades. The
guys I play with call my zero-C/V sound, "drone" sound and comment
how they like the effect when I ramp up and back down to slow drone.
Try it, you might like it.
