I played the last couple of gigs using a "dual leslie" setup with two
Pro3T's set up on the first 'click' position of two keyboard X stands
with amps underneath for the low rotor sims. So I had this great
sound floating all around with the actual horns mixing into the low
sims pulsing - but I couldn't really nail it down in the mix compared
to either Leslie(s) only, or CX3/Nord sim stereo only. It didn't
really have a "bite" or definition to it, even though it was loud.
I'm a 50:50 piano:organ player and play organ almost like a piano
part of the time, switching from one to the other, using a lot of the
same piano rhythms and patterns and attack "in your face" style on
the organ. I won't be using that setup again.

What I picked up from the experience was missing a real Leslie (or
two). A rotating horn really needs to be in a box built with a
counter-rotating woofer/rotor (don't know if MS are) in the same box,
so all the wood and louvers and glue and hardware resonate with each
other from top to bottom, i.e., I really felt the need for one or
more of my old 122's.

I haven't tried the Low-Pro with the Pro3T and have been curious; but
now I'm thinking ...Hey, the bottom is only "sitting" under the top.
I'd like to know how good the combo is ...but I have this clear
picture with sound in my head (sometime in the 70's) of me sitting in
front of one of my 122's with the back open facing out on top of 2
milk cartons a couple of feet left of my B3 bench - just kickin' *ss
with B3 and Leslies hammer down, Hohner EP w/SVT clanging, "Rock and
Roll Hootchie Coo," catching the rotors speed up and down out of the
corner of my eye. I'm leaning more toward the Road Leslie at the
moment - I know what a Leslie sounds w/o a stock amp (real good).

I've been trying to cut down on gear weight due to back (ouch), but
getting that "fulfilling" sound is elusive; might have to sell my hot
rod and get a van with a lift gate.
