Subject:Re: Tube Rotosphere question...
I also have cranked a V5 through the rotosphere for quite a while with no
problems. It is not terribly hard to replace the tube if it does burn out,
so crank away!!
I had the same problem with the LED light and I took it in to a guitar shop
that fixed the problem as well as put a latching switch in the breaker slot
so that you can "stop" the rotor. I think that it was a good mod and it
cost about $35 to get the repair and the switch put in. I think that the
new units come with that already built in. I think that the breaker is
probably cool if you are a guitar player but it just felt unnatural to me.
Also, I have used my unit pretty extensively stomping on it with boots for
hours on end and I have never broken a switch, but maybe I am just lucky.
I hope that you enjoy the unit.

Subject: [CWSG] Re: Tube Rotosphere question...
I've used my Rotosphere with V5 cranked for over 5 years with no problems.
I use 2 separate Boss latching footswitches with led status indicators Y'd
together... one for hand and one for foot. The mono male 1/4" plug of the Y
gets inserted half way into the footpedal jack (it's an RTS jack that can
accept
a single 2 button switch... one button for bypass, and the other for speed
switching... I only use speed switching)
When both Boss switches are on, it does fast speed. With one or the other
off, it's on slow
I've opened it up to change the tube... you need to remove the screws from
the end plates, and the nuts from the jacks in the back, then slide the
circuit
boards out the side.
Enjoy,
Mundaka
