I think maybe you don't understand how the Roland FV-300 Stereo
Volume pedal functions? I use an FV-300 and get full-range volume
control from almost-off to full output = as if there were no pedal
between keyboard and stereo amps. If you have an FV-300 pedal with
two cables connected from the Left and Right sound outputs on your
keyboard to the dual stereo In's and Out's of the pedal then to two
amps stereo or one stereo mixing amp/PA: With the volume knob at the
front of the pedal set to the halfway point, you should get full
volume control. If you're using the Left/Mono keyboard output,
connect it to one set of In's/Out's on the pedal and then to your
amp. Either you don't have the pedal connected correctly or are not
making the control knob adjustment.

These are super volume pedals, have been for years, as are the stereo
tip EV-5 pedals made to be hooked up to a Roland "Expression"
socket. Connect an EV-5 to an Electro's "Control" socket and you'll
get a great Hammond "Swell" volume effect and can work the wah-wah
effect in Piano mode. There's probably a zillion satisfied musician
users with Roland/Boss pedals, including me. And no, I don't work
for Roland, didn't pick a VK-8 (Korg CX3~v2 & Electro~2~73 first non-
Roland products in years :-) but did make a similar mistake judging
my first EV-5 pedal. I was cussin' a blue streak 'til Roland tech
support (live phone) told me about a little grey volume knob on the
side - woops. Good luck!
