-If you are using the 4/8 o'clock position, both speakers facing
outwards, there is a danger that the audience on either side, left of
centre will be overpowered by the speaker facing towards them, and
will not get the full stereo effect. As it is you are not hearing
yourself to the best advantage, as you commented.
From early Hi Fi days, when stereo first came out, it was often
suggested that the L and R speakers be placed, toed inwards at a 2
o'clock/ten o'clock position, L pointing to the right and R pointing
to the left.
If you have the room to place the speakers behind you, both you (
sitting in the accoustic triangle ) and the audience could get the
full benefit of your stereo rig. It might be worth a try at least.
