Subject:Thoughts on new gear - undecideded

Hey everybody,
Well I've settled in to a new rig, I'm pretty happy with my Electro 2 73,
and Roland A-70 controller (piano, 2nd organ manual and controller for my
my Virus B synth).

First off - if anybody has a VE-RD1 piano expansion card for the A-70 + A-90
keyboards they'd like to trade for the VE-GSPRO expansion card, or sell
outright, email me privately at dave@daveosoff.com.

Good setup - I setup some program changes this weekend on the A-70 which I
was controlling Electro patches with, good response; though occasionally if
I switched patches too quickly, say from patch 1 to patch 6, the Electro
would stop responding to the program changes. Seems ok as long as I don't
switch too quickly.

I like the feel of the A-70 for the Electro organ sounds more than the
Electro keyboard. As far as velocity curves, the A-70 has 7 I think, but I
still like the default standard one the best, but it does have a bit more
bite when playing the Electro EP sounds through it.

My currently dilemma: I was thinking seriously last week about selling my
Motion Sound KBR-m leslie amp and picking up an Electro rack. Don't want to
sell the Electro 73, But thought it would be cool to be able to take 1 board
and a rack to a gig for certain shows and still have the killer sounds, and
of course what would be a better backup for an broken Electro than another
one! But then I started thinking I may regret selling it like I have so
many other times in the past; I hardly ever use it, but it's in great shape
and it's nice to have, and it's the only leslie effect I have (outside of a
rotosphere) for my Voce V5 (which I hardly ever use, but is also nice to
have). Something's gotta give, though - no can afford to spend more money
without parting with something...

Anybody wanna offer .02, and try to steer me one way or the other???
