Subject:Re: My CX3 settings

yeah yeah yeah.. I worked my %$^#% off for the opportunity to procure
these instruments. (I have also been incredibly lucky)...

IMHO nothing comes close to the CX3 for recreating the Hammond playing
experience (which is musically AND ergonomically correct) ... I would
be playing a BX3 if I could lift the damn thing. That is why I was so
excited about the Key 5. I would love to see Korg, Nord, Hammond/Suz, or
Roland develop a clone with the SAME layout as a Hammond console (sorry,
that includes real drawbars) that weighs less than 70lbs. I would buy it
in a minute...

My thanks, also, for your posting.

By the way, I love the sound of my CX-3/Speakeasy/JBL Eon rig (as
well as the vintage touches - the woody look, real drawbars and
waterfall keys). But as someone who hasn't played a real Hammond in
years, I've sometimes wondered just how good my sonic memory is.
It's reassuring to know that someone who owns four B-3s reports that
he can tweak his CX-3 to make it pretty much match the sound of the
real deal.

On the other hand, there's something desperately unfair about ANYONE
owning four B-3s... ;-)
