Subject:Re: Ashby Solutions Barker

Not directly addressed to me but i think i can shed some light..

The CX3 into a 122 will benefit from the Barker pre the Speakeasy. I
use my CX3 with several different Leslie models, 860, 760 and 145 and
find that raising the gain pre the Speakeasy with a another pre amp
really does the trick.

As for the A100, you wont need the Barker. I also use my Speakeasy
between my M102 and a 760 and never require the Volume pot on the
Speakeasy past about 11:00. The Hammond puts out way more gain than
the CX3 and if i wind up the Speakeasy too far the distortion is Jon
Lord with a real bad attitude. I like more subtle levels of grit,
sort of Small Faces/Booker T sound.
