There isn't a whole lot that I can add to the previous (very thorough and on point)
replies, except regarding reverb. I use my Electro rack 6-7 nights a week in a wide
variety of venues and contexts. With one group that gigs once a week I use a little delay
(Electrix Mo-Fx), but the rest of the time I'm running the Electro bone dry, nothing but
the internal effects. The thing that really surprised me was that I didn't miss the reverb
at all, and that in the long run I ended up editing the reverbs on the patches that I used
other keyboards for, because what once sounded like a great, natural sounding reverb
became really cheesy to me. One other thing- I had a local Guitar Center order an
Electro rack in for me. When I got there, they had it set up and ready for me to try it out.
After playing with it for about thirty seconds, I was sold on the sounds (except the AcPia,
of course) They are just stunning, and with the right kind of action for the right sound,
they are an absolute joy to play, IMHO. I honestly have never been happier with ANY
keyboard, module, sound bank, whatever, that was not one of the real instruments that
the Electro emulates.
