I have never laid hands on a VK8 or VK8M. Tony O. had a VK8M for a brief
period and posted a very lukewarm review of it (search forum for it). I
have played the VK7 extensively and like it very much. If the VK8 is
similar, I imagine it is a very respectable Hammond clone. As for
comparisons between the VK8 and the CX3, I cannot help you there. I will
say that the VK7 and CX3 are very close, with a similar overall modeled
tone. I would say the CX3 edges it out in user interface and the VK7 is
built more ruggedly and also has the 11-pin Leslie connector on board. You
cannot go wrong with any of these clones. They are all very, very good.

As for the Speakeasy, it is icing on the cake for all the clones.
