I remember playing a Vk7 at GC years ago and come to think of it I felt it
was close to a B3 sound but if I recall, I noticed a more treble-ish sound
out of the higher registers of drawbars on the VK7 and thought that it could
easily be addressed by bringing them down a notch in the pullout. But the
VK8 the other day, was closer as you fan out the drawbars the way one would
on a real B3, than ever. And as previously stated in an answer to this post
you don't have to fiddle with it and wrangle a sound out of it like the CX,
which I may add, i felt the same way and didn't get it to sound the way I'm
used to either on a real B.
