Subject:Should i buy an old bx3/A100 chops

Okay, two questions folks:
I have the opportunity to buy an old BX3; i was lucky enought to speak to
john medeski once and he recommended it above the new one, i think, b/c it's
all analog.

2. I've seen places like www.hammondstore.com take an A100 and convert it
into a chop. The A100 has it's own amplification; what happens to it when
these guys do the chop? Also, does the A100 have any special features that
get lost when they're chopped??

Again, in speaking to John Medeski that one time, he recommended the A100
over the B3, saying it did, "more." I keep wondering what the "more" is...

Thanks, brian
