I have to say both sound pretty darn good, and I bet that most
people (including myself) would be hard pressed to tell the real
from the memorex in a blind test . . .

But the MS does sound more realistic to my ears, especially the ramp
up and down, where there seems to be a bit of a chorus caused by the
acceleration that doesn't happen in the sim.

I'd be interested in hearing others' comments too.
