When I first call up B4 in chainer, various parameters are bound to
certain controllers. Chainer basically passes MIDI through to the B4
and the B4 has certain default settings (the same CC's that exist
when you run B4 standalone).

Open the 2nd editor window and move the expression pedal. If you see
two parameters being affected, right-click and Unbind. Move the
expression pedal again - is it still being affected?

You should be able to, using the 2nd editor window, make it so that
your expression pedal does NOTHING to B4. Then you should be able to
select which parameters you want the expression pedal to control.

It is weird that the default behavior is different for you than it is
for me - the only thing I did was install B4 before Chainer, but that
shouldn't make any difference at all. But who knows!
