I had a bad experience with my 1st Barbetta. After 1/2 way through my first
gig with it, it crapped out on me. The dealer I bought it from replaced it
with another one and two years (and 100's of gigs) later, it's still
performing great. A couple of weeks ago I flew to a gig where I was
provided with a keyboard amp. It was the Yorkville 200. The sound was, I
believe, even better that my Barbetta! When it's time to replace it, I'll
definitely see what's available from Yorkville. I'm also going to consider
the Mackie 450.

I personally had the worst experience with the Barbetta 41C and its
manufacturer. I purchased it new through a dealer on the web. They
sent it. Right out of the box it had a hiss that was unbearable - even
my Roland 500C was quiet compared to that. All that crap about
"smoothing out even the most digital sounding piano patches" was just
that. When I called customer services to speak to someone, I got Moe,
Larry, and Curly all wrapped up in their resident genius. He acted as
if I was at fault and told me, if the band played loud enough, I'd
never hear the hiss; can you believe that?
I sent the thing back to the dealer and got a full refund. I purchased
a little known, un-hyped amp made by Yorkville Sound in Canada called
the 200KB - 4 channels, 200 watts, a 15" and 3" tweeter, with the
ability to power an external speaker. Best keyboard amp I've ever had>
I've never had to crank it above '4' and with the "6" JBL I use an
external speaker it's a great place to start with Roland RD700 piano,
Korg CX-3 plus Speakeasy, and occasional Wurlitzer electric piano
200A.
