Subject:Re: Mackie SRM 450 with 2 keyboards - how to send signal to the house
Like most of you, some gigs my rig functions as a stage monitor, some gigs it the the only sound source for the keys. Since the Mackie SRM 450 has two inputs/outputs, it seems there are two possible ways to play two keyboards into it and still send signal to the house. One is to Y the two keyboards into the Mackie and use the other XLR jack to send signal to the house, the other is to get a small mixing board and send signal from there to the house and the Mackie. And...if I am also using a Pro3t, should I send the mic'ed signal into this small mixing board then to the house or send the mic'ed signal directly to the house and bypass the mixing board (just for the Pro3T). I am really not happy with the Barbetta 41 and am going to take it back get the Mackie this weekend. I just need to know what else to get. Finally, what small mixing board, if that is the best solution, do you guys recommend. Something small like those products made by Rolls, or a small mixing board like the Beringer or something else. Thanks for you help.
