Subject:OT: Keyboard for LH bass

I am looking for a keyboard to be strictly used for playing left-hand bass
through a module. I read about the 26 to 44 key Edirol's and Evolution's
etc. and the price seems right but my real question is will these things
stand up to the rigors of constant playing or are they toys? What should I
be looking at for something like this? Thanks for your assistance.
