Funny you should say this. I've just started using a marshall 9200 2x100 W valve power amp for my leslie. All of a sudden I had the clear punchy bottom end smooth mids and highs I'd been trying to squeeze out of a transistor power amp and a multiband EQ unit for years. Plus, by using a high pass filter into the HF driver amp side, I can get a pretty good valve leslie "crunch" in the sound without the low end making it dirty. Tubes ..... aaahhh!

I find it fascinating how the inventors and innovators got it right the first time around,(ie valve amps, electric guitars, Rhodes, Hammond, leslie, clavinet, analogue synths etc etc) and solid state/digital technology still comes in a distant second for sound quality and depth.
