Better download your updaters while you can..
By the way, if you want to hear how great a CX3 can sound (with v2.0
software), come to The Off Campus Pub this Sunday in Fullerton, CA. I
will be playing my CX3 through a Speakeasy classic stereo preamp, then
into twin SRM 450's. Damn that sounds fine...
Also, after listening to how great the V2.0 software is with its vastly
improved Leslie sim, I think I will put up with the funky chorus for a
while..v

Well, just to "balance" things a little... My CX-3 is now on its way to
the Norwegian distributor for a mainboard replacement, due to a problem
that occurred while running the current V2 updater. I have noticed
several other list members have run the updater successfully, so I'm not
saying there's a major problem with it. But I do have a decent MIDI
interface, and the updater ran all tests without complaining before
starting the actual update process. Still I got timeout errors,
eventually resulting in a fried mainboard. So the warnings on Korg's
website are there for a reason!
Let me also say that Jerry K. has been VERY helpful, first by trying to
work out what had happened, and then by contacting Korg Europe and the
Norwegian distributor to sort things out when we concluded that the
organ was "dead". Thanks Jerry!

I've been patiently awaiting the arrival of a stable V2 upgrader.
Now that its released and there has been some good feedback from
some members, I'm thinking of upgrading my MIDI interface and
running the upgrade.
One question though: Has anyone tried using the "Stop" button while
the leslie sim was On/Fast after a V2 upgrade? I ran across a new
V2 CX-3 in a local music store and the "Stop" function did not work
when the leslie was running in a fast rotation.
Just wondered if this was an OS bug or a faulty unit . . .
