The Electro 2 is the same piece of hardware with an extra stick-on
label, nothing more.
I now have one of these red boxes, the rack version, and it's the
best piece of gear I've ever had(period)
I thought I'd got a good sound with a Voce V3 and two Dynacord CLS222s
and I had, but this is just phenomenal, without a Leslie even.
I run it through an MPArt Dual MP and it is what I've been after
since getting hooked on Hammond, having started with an XM1 module.
I have a tonewheel Hammond at home with a 145 Leslie but it doesn't
get chance to be aired much as it shares the family living room with
sundry other electronic items which seem to take preference by my
family. ( They don't fully appreciate my virtuoso skills it seems )
The Electro, I can play upstairs in a small studio with my other
keyboards through a mixer to headphones. If you can deal with the
buttons, which do have certain advantages, you should really audition
one of these things. Nord have really done their homework. The EPs
are wonderful too, so you really need two of these things so you can
play organ and piano together.
