Well put. My Dad was treated badly, forced to take piano lessons at a young age and completely embittered by a cruel teacher who threatened him. As it were, he later regretted being "forced" and quitting. He felt he would have gravitated to the piano anyway. I however was positively reinforced by understanding parents who would stick thier head in my room now and then and say "sounds good, keep going". Nice of them, to say the least.
