Subject:Thinning MIDI volume data

I set my CX-3 to send MIDI volume (CC 7) when the expression pedal
moves, so I can control the volume of both the CX-3 and my Emu
Classic Keys module with just the one pedal. However, moving the
pedal sends so much MIDI data that I end up getting stuck notes on
the Emu. Any ideas on how I can thin the data?
