The way I understand it (from both people at Goff and the hammond@zeni.net
list) is that a "semi tech" can install the TrekII percussion. I was
interested when I investigated a CV that I decided not to buy.
Two noticable changes in it compared to a B-3:
(1) you lose the 1' (9th) drawbar permanently, not just when percussion's on.
If you use the 1' drawbar a lot, you might want to use the 1-1/3' drawbar
(8th) for the trigger instead. That's a common mod for B-3's, etc.
(2) As I understand it, the Trek II will go through the vibrato circuitry,
where B-3 percussion bypassed it, even if vibrato was on for the manual. With
a BV the vibrato is "all or nothing", with a B-2 you can run vibrato on the
lower manual and percussion w/o vibrato on the upper if it bothers you.
