Subject:Leslie switch interface...
One for the electronically ingenious amongst you:
I'm now the happy owner of a Sharma 3200 (real, big, meaty
spinning things!) and a Dynacord CLS22 (fake, small, virtual
spinning things!), as well as a BX-3 (old analogue style).
I'd like to fit a halfmoon Leslie switch, or even the Sharma's
rocker, to the BX-3, and set things up so it can control
either the Sharma or the Dynacord: has anyone knocked together a
little circuit that turns a single pole Chorale/Off/Tremelo switch
into the Dynacord's two fast/slow and on/off switching channels?
The Sharma effectively has two switch lines: short one to ground,
you get slow; short the other to ground, you get fast; short
neither to ground and you get stopped (it being a SPDT
centre-off switch, you can't short both to ground (with resultant
slipping of drive belts and smoking of motors!))
The Dynacord has also got two switch lines: short one to ground,
you get either fast or slow, depending on whether the other is
shorted or not. As far as I can see, it's not the only
rackmount Leslie sim that works this way, so someone out there
must have come up with a way to make a standard halfmoon or
similar switch control a Dynacord.
Thoughts? Pointers?
