Maarten;

Here's a URL for a basic description of the Leslie 740:

http://www.mosweb.com/knowledgebase/leslie/id114.htm

This URL is for Maryland Organ Service's Leslie Pin-out page:

http://www.mosweb.com/knowledgebase/leslie/id11.htm

From this page it looks like the 11-pin connection scheme allows for
multiple channels, and the 740 is listed as one of the models covered by the
"Standard" 11-pin configuration.

Also, the Maryland Organ Service website has a page on connecting Leslies to
organs:

http://www.mosweb.com/knowledgebase/leslie/id139.htm

Another good source of information is the Hamtech list FAQ page:

http://theatreorgans.com/hammond/faq/

Hope this helps!

Subject: [CWSG] Joepie!, I have a leslie, but what to do next....

Good day!

I am very happy since today, because someone was giving me a leslie model
740. For free! :)

Maybe somebody can give me more info about it, because i cant cant find much
in the internet.
What i know is, the leslie is having four channels, and 11 pins connection.
I was wondering i should have a connectionkit for my XB-1, also having 11
pins connector, or just
put a cable between them.. Also i am very curious at the age.. The serial
number is 7008862.
I noticed in the hammondzone it is very dangerous to just connect them
without knowing if everything is 100% allright..

Maybe somebody has a manual (jpeg, word, etc.) for me? Or a pin diagram? pls
pls also from the XB-1,
because my XB-1 manual is not clear in that..

I hope that someone can help me, the leslie is in the totaly centre of my
room now, and i cant use it! Wé wé wé wé!!

Greetings,
