Subject:Re: Best raw clone sound minus internal Leslie simulation?
I was always really surprised at how good my VK-7
sounded through my 147.
Tuesday night I got to run my new B4 setup through the
147 for the first time. To be honest, I was astounded.
On the album "Reboppin'", Joey DeFrancesco plays a
Hammond without a leslie (he was using some other type
of amp I think) and, as a result, this album has a
very unique sound. It's a lot more of the direct
Hammond sound. With the rotarty speaker function off,
the B4 sounds like organ on this album!
