P.S. We have actually had to add a 15% restocking fee on returns, because
we had two clients who took advantage of us - one bought a preamp for a
studio session and one for a tour, and then returned them. Interestingly,
both of them raved about the preamps.
I don't think anyone else ever took us up on the old return policy, anyway,
to be honest.

Hi,
Steve has also created a couple of stereo rack-mount preamps with one side
optimized for Hammond clones and one side optimized for Rhodes/piano tones
(like our Suitcase Vintage Tube Preamp). I know there is some difference
in
EQ, but am not a tech so I don't know what else is involved.
He will build a stereo Hammond/Rhodes preamp for the same cost as the
stereo
Leslie preamp. The only thing you would be missing is the ping pong
vibrato
of the Suitcase VTP.
There is no difference in sound between the pedal and rack-mount version.

Concerning the sonic differences, Steve the engineer would know, but it
seems to me that essentially all parts are the same, set up in stereo
pairs
or monophonic.
I had all the same questions before I "spoke more easily". Now I'm a
happy
owner.
Steve the engineer can answer them for you. You could not find a more
quiet, caring, listening and supportive engineer of a product that will
do
what is promised or your money back.

I use a Nord Electro and a KBR-3D. I am thinking about adding a

Here are my choices:
Footpedal model - I only need one channel since I feed the KBR-3D and
the speed switch on the pedal is an atractive plus.
The single channel rack unit. I don't currently carry a rack and this
would add some complexity to my rig which I try to keep simple. Does
this
unit sound different than the footpedal unit.
The stereo rack unit. I only need one channel, but would the second
channel be useful for the pianos on the electro which I feed into the
"straight" side of the KBR-3D.
