Subject:Re: Speakeasy preamps - which one?
Concerning the sonic differences, Steve the engineer would know, but it
seems to me that essentially all parts are the same, set up in stereo pairs
or monophonic.
I had all the same questions before I "spoke more easily". Now I'm a happy
owner.
Steve the engineer can answer them for you. You could not find a more
quiet, caring, listening and supportive engineer of a product that will do
what is promised or your money back.

I use a Nord Electro and a KBR-3D. I am thinking about adding a Speakeasy
preamp; but which one? Is there a sonic difference?
Here are my choices:
Footpedal model - I only need one channel since I feed the KBR-3D and
the speed switch on the pedal is an atractive plus.
The single channel rack unit. I don't currently carry a rack and this
would add some complexity to my rig which I try to keep simple. Does this
unit sound different than the footpedal unit.
The stereo rack unit. I only need one channel, but would the second
channel be useful for the pianos on the electro which I feed into the
"straight" side of the KBR-3D.
