That sounds like a good plan. I'm going to try just what you suggested and
see how it goes. You know, it's surprising to me on the action of the CX3
keyboard. Even though it is very similar to the A-100 I used to have (super
for glissendos and smears), it has (what I believe anyway) a better tactile
feel for playing piano parts compared to the Karma which has a true "synth"
action.
Maybe after trying this, I'll ask myself "What the h*ll was I thinking?"
but.... I don't know. I have a feeling that this may work out exceptionally
well. I also own a Yamaha P80 with 88 weighted keys and has a great
acoustric piano action but is a little stiffer than I'd like, especially
when trying to play fast rock & roll solos. It's my impression that the CX3
action will allow me to easily pull off those fast parts but also allow me
to be a little more expressive on the other piano parts compared to the
Karma keyboard action.
