Absolutely: music being what it is, a part of the 'rightness' or
otherwise of a clone, of any kind, must be in how it looks and feels,
and how that affects your mental approach to the instrument. I'm
more a guitarist than a keys player, but to me, playing 'Hammond' on
something without drawbars (and preferably two manuals) would be
rather like trying to cover a Springsteen number and not using a
Telecaster - it's part of the whole mental picture, part of what
gets you into the mindset.
