< understand why I should need two of them.>>

I use an ART parametric tube eq w/ my V5. It helps w/ the lack of perc.
volume issue, plus adds a little brightness that, for my taste, the V5 lacks.
Since it's an eq the tube isn't used for overdrive, just to fatten the sound
a bit. Depending on the job I'll use either a PRO3-T or a Rotosphere. SInce
these 2 units have different tonal characteristics the eq helps even them
out. Since the ART is only a half-rack space it makes a convenient package to
velcro the V5 right on top of it. That way there's extra gain if you need it
plus the ability to tailor the tonal response to fit the rig, room, etc. I
only use the Speakeasy on the jobs w/ the PRO3-T, but that way you get a 3
tube chain going which can get it to sound pretty creamy. It definitely
doesn't come across sounding like a case of tube overkill.
