Yes it was! It had the round knobs too. Sometime later I asked
Steve to send me a set of 3 "chickenhead" knobs like his preamps use
now to replace the older round knobs. Steve did so, but in trying to
get the "pull bright" knob off I ripped the whole shaft out of the
pot (Dooohhh!). I sent the preamp back to Steve for repair, which he
did free-of-charge, and he replaced the "pull bright" pot with a
regular one. I never used the old pull-bright feature anyway cuz the
preamp was plenty bright withouit pulling anything. With my CX-3 I
used the pedal with the treble set all the way down.
I also bought that first preamp from Tony LaBrasca at BT
Productions. He was the guy that told me about Speakeasy to begin
with.
