Subject:Re: B4 latency on USB to midi converter
Jude;
I use a MidiMan 2x2 USB-to-MIDI interface. There is no latency associated
with the MIDI interface itself. The latency is in the conversion of the
B4's output (.WAV data) to sound at the computer's audio card/interface.
Depending on the card, drivers, and OS, this can be anywhere from <5 msec
to 200 msec or more. Depending on your preferences, anything uder 20 msec
or so can be acceptable.
