Hi Brian,

I use the configuration above for the MOSFET power amp that drives my hot-rod Leslie. When I use the Leslie sim in the CX-3, I run in stereo, with each output of the CX-3 driving one side of the ART.
>I also use two 1/4" to XLR adapters, is this how everyone else does it or do they use the front panel jacks? Does this seem to make any difference?
I've done both, lately settling on 1/4" all the way for convenience. The XLR inputs are a little hotter (6dB?) than the 1/4", but there seems to be plenty of gain to compensate.
>How are you guys out there setting yours? I seem to have problems with clipping on my mixer to achieve the sound I'm after and the red lights on the MP's channel coming on once and while. Are you guys using the +20 switch on?
My "secret" to setting it is to set up a rhythm/comping level -- in my case, that's Volume on 12:00, expression pedal floored -- then hold down the lowest two C's while all the drawbars are out (88 8888 888). I then adjust each side until the red LED flickers about once per second. That gives me the sound I like: warm on rhythm, with a bit more edge when I solo. If you want more or less growl, try turning the gain up or down one clock setting.
If your mixer is clipping, try setting the Output controls on the ART to around 10:00.
Regards,
-BW
