This was my first real exposure to the kinds of music I love most today. First CD I ever owned, it was a birthday present along with my TEAC CD player ($180, skipped like mad if you so much as looked at your CD's funny). I guess I was about 14 at the time. No joke, people, "Born Under a Bad Sign," "God Bless the Child," and "Springfield Soul Stew" inspired me to take playing music seriously. ('Smithers' plays a mean guitar solo on "Look at all These Idiots"...)
