Subject:Re: Use of Voce V5 in your rigs

Hey Bob...

My V5 is for my TOTALLY STRIPPED DOWN CANT BRING MORE
THAN ONE BOARD THERES NO ROOM AND THE EVENT WILL FREAK
OUT OR THE AIRLINE REFUSES YOU MORE THAN ONE CASE rig.
So, my controller? An 88 weighted key Motif-8. Not
the most organic controller, but again, this is for
stripped down rigs. And I'm one of those peculiar
anomalies who would rather play organ on a weighted
board than play piano on a non-weighted or
semi-weighted board. I grew up on piano, so the
strength/speed thing isn't an issue for me. But hand
smears and clusters can get clumsy. I occasionally
use an A70 if it's an organ/synth gig, and use a small
rack of synths, and that is a very nice controller for
organic playing. Never tried two V5s...mine's the
only one I EVER saw.
