On that note, Andrew Giddings plays keyboards with
Jethro Tull. One night Keith Emerson was in the
audience and commented on how good the Hammond
sounded, but didn't recognize the model. Andrew then
led him around the stage to the rig, which was 2
Roland D70s inside a prefabbed box that looked very
Hammondish, but not as large as a B3. One D70
controls a sampler, as well as its own sounds, and the
other D70 controls a Hammond XM2 with a CLS222 leslie
sim.
So much for hearing with your ears.
