In the store (Pianos & Stuff in Pittsburgh), I listened to the Electro, CX-3
and VK-7 side-by-side, and another time (New York Music in Youngstown) I
heard CX-3 and VK-8 side-by-side. Both Electro and CX-3 were V1 software.

I thought the Electro sim was great and the CX-3 sim was acceptable. I was
not excited with the VK-8 sim, although it sounded better than the I
remembered the VK-7 being (I had other issues with the VK-8 including "no
display").

With the newer software, the CX-3 sim will be even better. I haven't heard a
V2 Electro yet.

I use a M-S rig with my A-105 and usually use the CX-3 standalone with a
small amp. I've also used the CX-3 with the MS one time when I needed more
"oomph" at a church retreat, but that was simply lack of a big enough amp for
the room I was in.
