Yeah, please post a review I'm a monster fan of his playing.
He's really never used a Leslie. Just listen to all the old
Oblivion Exress LPs. He plays straight organ and then for emphasis
just juices the sound now and then with tasteful use of the
chorus/vibrato. If anyone's going ask him if he's planning on getting
up to Mpls/StPaul anytime soon. I haven't seen him since he toured
many years ago with Eric Burdon. They did a great club gig at the
Cabooze in Mpls. The whole Oblivion Express catalog is worth
searching out, especially everything from Better Land (1971) to Live
Oblivion Vol 1&2
(1975). A tremendous string of keyboard dominated LPs and they don't
sound dated in any way. Those who haven't listened to him start with
Truth (1972) and Closer to It (1973). You won't regret the purchase.
