Bill,
I once put a NOS Mullard 7025/12AX7 tube in my KBR-M. At first, I
thought it sounded better (brighter and warmer). Over a couple of
months, it seemed to get harsher and not as pleasant (perhaps it was
going bad; I'm not sure). I switched back to the same 5751 stock
tube and was happy again. The whole exercise of wrangling the amp
out of the box was much more trouble than it was worth!
