I bought a VK-8 and was unaware of the key bounce "problem" before
reading about it here. So far, it has not been a problem at all for
me. My background, though, is mostly with the piano, so my technique
is such that it tends not to excite the key bounce.

Quite the contrary... now that I'm aware that I can get key bounces
if I strike the keys the right way, I'm experimenting with taking
advantage of it.

The point is that key bounce can be a bug or a feature, it just
depends on whether you can control when the bounce happens.

On a different VK-8 note, I'm really starting to enjoy those "other
tones". In particular, tone #3 which is an electric piano. The VK-8
layers these tones on the organ sounds. This is a pain if what you
want is purely the other tone (you have to push in all the drawbars
or perhaps make a special preset that essentially does the drawbar
pushes for you.) However, I'm not thrilled with the other tones by
themselves. What I do like is the fact that the electric piano is
velocity sensitive. (As a piano player, I always found the lack of
velocity sensitivity of organs to be a real limitation) So... with
the electric piano layered on the organ sounds, what I get is kinda
like a velocity-sensitive percussion effect on each note. IMHO it
makes the organ more expressive.
