I was about to write . . . I dont know WHY he would.

But two Sundays ago at church, things were getting a little crucial (people
wanting to shout, etc) and I had my Roland synth stacked on top of my
Clavinet . . . the preacher was going in E natural, and I decided to
transpose the board to Eb, as it's much easier for me to play a shout
bassline in Eb than E . . . but the Clav was still in E, of course . . . I
mainly played the Roland at this time but every now and then I would throw in
a right hand lick on the Clav . . .

Still, I look down on transposing, even when I do it . . .

This past Sunday in church, after the Sermon, for alter call, a vocalist got
up to sing Devotion, and she started in A natural and modulated to D natural
. . . both keys I can play in but I prefer other keys . . . so when she
paused, I changed from D to Eb . . . no one seemed to notice!
