Subject:Re: CX-3 Extended Mode Drawbars

On further investigation, it looks like details are available in the BX-3 manual. It is in the preset programming, and if you use SPLIT while in EX MODE, the lower keyboard uses the 3 (new) presets for 16', 8', 4'. (Pages 21 and 25).

Will there be an updated CX-3 manual with V2 features?

There are no details about how this works. How is this sound source controlled? Real drawbar mapping, OR programming mode, OR SYSEX commands, OR MIDI controls, OR ...

I completely agree with Bruce's and others' comments about "bugs" in software. More features and more options mean exponential combinations. It could take years (decades) to test every concievable combination and potential situation. Developers do their best (we hope) to gracefully handle errors, but there is ALWAYS a gotcha when a new release is (first) posted (customers are amazinly innovative at this). If this scares you, then don't attempt any software install/upgrade yourself and let a qualified technician take the risk. The only real solution (for any software company) is to step up to the plate, admit the oversite, fix it, and take care of the customers. Korg has shown that they are a professional company and care about their customers. And, I have owned my CX-3 (serial #2001) for
