Especially as their fingerings don't change when using capos: guitars
are chromatic instruments by nature.

Also: the voicings change towards a higher register, which can sound
much better (but also worse : try playing 'Bad Moon Rising with a capo
at the 7th fret e.g. ...). But a very frequent reason for capo use is
singing in a key better suited to your voice. At least that's why I
mainly use them ...
