You should definitely NOT do this. The connector is the same, but the connections are very different. You will need to get a 122-to-147 adapter, which used to be available from Hammond dealers, as it was a common request in the 60's and 70's. If you cannot find one, information on the connections is available at:

A note of caution: The opposite scenario -- plugging a 122 into a 147 control socket -- is actually dangerous to both you and your gear, because it puts line (mains) voltage on a line intended for a medium-level DC voltage.
