Subject:Alternative to downloading CX-3 v2.0 upgrade

Folks,

After a failed first attempt (unreliable cheap USB-MIDI gadget) and
the other problems cited, I decided to HOLD OFF on trying the v2.0
upgrade. Thanks to Jerry for the update and prompt customer service.

One alternative I've actually been considering: Purchase a brand new
CX-3 running v2.0 with the ADDED BENEFIT of true waterfall keys.
Then sell my v1.0 and it would not be a huge investment to upgrade
not only the software but the hardware. I'm still considering this.
This would probably make Korg happy. I'm just not sure how to tell
if I am ordering a TRUE v2.0 waterfall CX-3 vs. the old style
(presuming dealers still have some older stock on the shelves). I'm
also not sure if the v1.0 resale is impacted by v2.0? Probably not,
since there is an upgrade available (hopefully in defect-free fashion
soon).

I don't think we have any users on this forum that have a brand new
v2.0 CX-3 with the new waterfall keys. I would be interested to know
more about how this keyboard compares to the original. Same action
without the little lip? Or a whole new action entirely???

The other option is to sit tight, content with the v1.0 that I have.
It still sounds really good to my ears.
