Hi Tony,
I guess our tastes are just different. I've used the CX-3 for live rock and R&B. I don't play jazz, and I rarely record much of anything. I've thoroughly enjoyed the sound of the CX-3 in these settings, though, for over 18 months. I like it better with a real Leslie, but I've done OK with the simulator in a pinch. The only real complaint has always been that I needed to use 88 8886 555 in place of 88 8888 888, and the new firmware seems to fix that.
